Information About Samantha:


Personal Description:

I have travelled the world extensively. I have lived abroad in Thailand and South Korea where I taught English as a foreign language. I lived in Fuerteventura, Canary Islands, Spain.

I have academic qualifications in GCSE's, A-levels in Sociology , Media Studies and Psychology and a University degree - Bsc Social Policy and HR Management.

My enjoyment is in the Arts and Languages area. I enjoy exploring philosophy, and spirituality/religions. I am a qualified and practising Holistic Therapist.

I have a background in Human Resources and therefore I have an excellent understanding of Business Strategy.



Teaching Experience:

I have taught English as a foreign Language to children (3 years old to adults) whilst travelling and living in South Korea and Thailand.

I have delivered training to Line Managers as a HR Officer at Oxford Instruments Medical.

I have written my own accredited training manuals and delivered training in Holistic Therapies: Indian Head Massage and Hopi Ear candling.

I have just completed the PTLLS at City of Bristol College, Bristol (Preparing to teach in the Life Long Sector) teaching qualification in order to teach my Holistic therapies : Hopi Ear candling, Indian Head Massage and Swedish Massage at colleges of Further Education.



Tutoring Approach:

I am a very open, warm, friendly, patient, and encouraging tutor. I encourage questioning and support as much as I can. I understanding the importance of learning styles and can design and support my tutoring to meet all learners needs. I understand that all learners are individuals and welcome diversity and may have barriers to the learning which I fully support.
