Francisco - Gravesend tutor

Information About Francisco:

Personal Description:

I am a 31 years old male from Almerķa in Spain. I studied French-Spanish Translation and Interpreting at the University of Granada (Spain), I then moved to France to work as a Spanish assistant at a Secondary college for two years. I realized there I wanted to become a Spanish teacher because I really enjoyed the experience. After my experience in France, I came to England in 2011 to do a training programme in education called GTP and I have become a full qualified teacher this year. I have been trained as a Secondary teacher in England for two academic years (2011/12 and 2012/13) and I currently work at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School as a MFL teacher in Faversham.

My main interests are lecturing, traveling, cultural activities (theater, literature, etc) and some sports like football, jogging and trekking and I also have a love of nature.

Teaching Experience:

I worked in Montpellier (France) as a Spanish assistant for two years, giving me the opportunity to work with students of all ages and at differentiated levels. After my experience in France, I worked as a Spanish Assistant at Cadbury Sixth Form College in Birmingham in 2009/10. The most important task for a Foreign Language Assistant is teaching the communicative skills in any language, therefore, this is an area in which I encouraged progression at that moment. Working with Secondary students in Spain also allowed me to develop my teaching skills further.

This year I have become a qualified teacher after being trained as a Secondary teacher in England for two academic years (2011/12 and 2012/13) and I currently work as MFL teacher at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School.

Tutoring Approach:

I teach Spanish and French to students of all ages and at all levels and I always adapt my way of teaching to my students' needs and intentions. That is very important. I like my students to enjoy my lessons but also to learn useful skills in French or Spanish. I find using cultural and current issues in media to encourage interest. I also structure my lessons to allow students to be involved in auditory, practical and written work to cater for all types of learners.
