Personal Description:
I am from Turkey and living in Cambridge now.I am a prospective PhD student of University of Cambridge. I will be studying music processing. I took my Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees form the Electrical and Electronics Department of Middle East Technical University, Turkey.
I have been playing piano since I was 7 and hold the 8th grade certificate for piano given by Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music,London. I have experience in singing, mostly jazz,latin and Turkish music. I have performed in jazz ensembles in Turkey.
Teaching Experience:
I have experience in teaching piano, especially to adults. I have also practiced piano with my 10 years old niece for 4 years. I get along well with children.
Tutoring Approach:
I am a patient tutor and always welcome questions form my students. I encourage the student to find his/her own way of solving problems. For music especially, I aim to teach the student read the music. Shortly I prefer to teach how to learn.
