Information About Harry:

Personal Description:

I am 26, male, and have lived in Leeds most of my life. I look young for my age and am exceptionally easy going, and never afraid of a challenge.

When I am not working, I enjoy the martial arts and regularly attend karate training three times a week, taking part in competitions both nationally and internationally.

Teaching Experience:

During my TEFL course, I have worked as a teacher in a controlled setting teaching young children through to mature adults. These classes were aimed at developing my skills as a teacher and increasing my awareness of the methodology that can be used. These sessions were always followed by a constructive feedback session with the trainer.

During this course, I also taught at a local telecommunications firm in Prague called 2N. These were private lessons, twice a week, and were to Advanced level students.

At the end of the course, I accepted the offer of a language school (as noted above) to work as an English teacher in their language school. Again, I was teaching students from all yeargroups.

I have the experience working with all ages and how to control a classroom if necessary and know that I would make a valuable asset to your school.

I have taught classes in excess of 20 students.

Tutoring Approach:

I am able to teach English to foreign students in a mature and friendly manner - employing key curriculum and grammar aspects in a way that makes learning more interesting and fun for the student.

I am proficient in the use of IT and pride myself on my ability to form lesson plans and organise my time in an efficient and coherent manner.

I especially enjoy working as a part of a team and derive great satisfaction from seeing students learn and progressing with their studies.

I possess the ability to help students in need while maintaining a professional demeanour at all times. During my time as a teacher, I also learnt key skills relating to classroom management and when to employ different methods.

I am reliable, trustworthy, and have an infectious smile and personality.
