Personal Description:
I am a 34 year old living in Hastings but happy to travel locally. I work seasonally on a boat in the Outer Hebrides concentrating on marine ecology and biology which fuels my interest in earth science and Oceanography.
Teaching Experience:
I was an English language teacher for 17 years and have completed a degree in African and Asian studies and History at the University of Sussex as well as a level one and two in Earth Science at Exeter University
Tutoring Approach:
I have a nine year old son who is very involved in my work and interests and this is what inspires me to teach other young people about Earth processes and subjects which I believe are exciting, absorbing and important, and often neglected. I think its important to keep students in touch with relevent developments in scientific thought but also to have a basic, confident understanding of such subjects as geography, geology, oceanography, biology, meteorology and physics.
