Information About Calum:
Personal Description:
I have completed a masters degree in physics at the University of Southampton. This summer I did a CELTA training course (Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults) at Oxford House College in London. I enjoy teaching students of any age and am available on both weekdays and weekends.
Teaching Experience:
I have experience in teaching both maths and physics to students between the ages of 13-17. During my CELTA course I taught classes with a large variety of age and cultural background.
Tutoring Approach:
I am very flexible in my approach to tutoring, I can work through the syllabus using the students text books, or focus on specific areas where more help is needed. I like to help the tutee solve problems through a logical approach rather than just following a method learnt in class.
When teaching English as Foreign language I like to get the learners involved in lots of activities so that they can discover the language for themselves.
