Personal Description:

I am a professional guitarist, musician and educator from the UK and have had a life long interest in music and music education. I have had the privilege of working and training with some of the UK's top players and educators, as well as many international musicians, and have gained much experience as a result. I have a dedicated hard-work ethic, get on well with colleagues and I am very keen to meet people from new cultures and to learn more about traditional music from around the world. I recently taken leave from my position at one of the U.K.'s leading music education centres to travel the world in the hope of sharing the many benefits to be gained from music making - especially with children and young people. I have been living and studying in Suratthani, Southern Thailand for 18 months learning Thai classical and traditional music, which I hope to incorporate into an Ethnomusicological study for a Master's degree beginning academic year 2010/11.

Developed a unique method for teaching improvisation through research and tuition.
Teaching and performance extensively throughout the UK and internationally.
Developed music learning programme for young children - particularly aged 5 and below, incorporating elements from the Dalcroze method, Kodaly and through extensive teaching experience of this age range.
Written curriculum for contemporary guitar studies. Created and implemented a programme for developing improvisation skills for all musicians from all age ranges and abilities.
