Information About Grace:

Personal Description:

My name is Grace and I am 23 years old. I have just finished a degree in English Literature. I like yoga and swimming. I love animals and own three rats called Tophat, Percy and Algernon who are very cute and fuzzy. I love teaching and I'm fun and enthusiastic.

Teaching Experience:

I taught with EF Language Travel for two consecutive summers. I have recently completed a CELTA course. I also volunteer with the Migrant Englsih Project at the Cowley Club in Brighton. I have taught many different ages ranging from 12-60 years old. I have also taught people of lots of different nationalities such as French, Spanish, Austrian, Ukrainian, Russian, Italian, Polish, Hungarian, Iranian, Bangladeshi, Colombian and Chinese amongst others.

I have also led a Youth Drama group and receive free dancing lessons to aid beginners get to grips with basic moves.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to meet the student and find out what they aim to get out of the tutoring, to find out what their goals are and which areas they wish to improve or work on specifically.
I will then use a variety of materials to create lessons which are engaging and address the concerns of the student.
I focus on all four skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking) and encourage confidence and independent language production

Qualifications:

• BA English Literature 2:1 Hons
• Cambridge /ESOL Certificate in English Language Teaching (CELTA) Pass B
