Information About Stephen:
Personal Description:
I am a trainee teacher at Sheffield Hallam University. I studied for 3 years at Birmingham University where I graduated with a BSc in Physics with Astrophysics.
I have lived in France for a year where I learnt to speak french almost fluently.
Outside of teaching I enjoy rock climbing and skiing.
Teaching Experience:
2003 - 2005
Tutoring 5-15 year old pupils English, Science and Maths
2008 - Teaching physics within a school for 1 term
2008 - Tutoring an engineering undergraduate maths
2009 Summer - Teaching English and Physics to French students.
I am in the process of doing a PGCE so I am within schools teaching everyday.
Tutoring Approach:
When teaching I am very enthusiastic and I always aim to convey the information in the most interesting way possible. I discuss with my pupils what they would like to cover and then I prepare exercises that work around these topics. I set homework each lesson which when returned will be marked for the following session.
In summary I have an energetic and enthusiastic attitude towards teaching.
