Personal Description:
Hi, I'm a french PhD student in Cardiff, school of psychology. I have just submitted my thesis so I'm now fully available to teach. I'm fluent in french (my native langage) and in English. I also have taught throughout my undergraduate and postgraduate studies. I am in Cardiff for at least the next year probably, so I thought I could offer my teaching services.
Teaching Experience:
I have taught to first and second year psychology students in Cardiff University.
I have taught primary education with the company Completude in France and I have given private tuitions of maths in secondary school.
My PhD led me to improve my communication skills through all the talks and presentations of my research. I feel comfortable to teach at least French, maths and physics.
While I attended the conservatoire over 10 years, I learned many musical skills, as I can read and compose music, play the piano, guitar and most of the brass instruments (especially trumpet, trombone and tuba). My research is also involved in music, and I would be happy to teach you the last discoveries on the science of music, which particularly helps creativity.
Tutoring Approach:
My way of tutoring is clearly a customer-centred approach. Depending on your skills and needs, I will completely change the way I can teach you, either going to the essential for instance to get an exam, or consolidating, re-explaining what you might have misunderstood at school. For those who learn from scratch, I'm generally good at stirring up interests. For adult learners, especially for French, I generally go to the 'must-know' so that you can cope with every day life communication.
