Information About Beth:

Personal Description:

I have a PhD in Psychology and lecture at a local university. I have worked as a part-time home tutor for eight years, tutoring GCSE and A-Level psychology students, and have extensive experience working with teenagers(especially those with additional learning needs).

I hold a full clean UK driving licence and am willing to travel.

Teaching Experience:

8 years experience one-on-one tutoring GCSE and A-level psychology (OCR, AQA and Edexcel) including students with additional learning needs (e.g. dyslexia, during recovery from mental/physical illness). I have also previously worked as an examiner for A-Level Psychology with OCR.

References from past tutees/parents are available upon request.

Tutoring Approach:

I have an adaptable friendly approach to tutoring, which is tailored to the individual. I have extensive experience providing tuition to individuals with special educational needs and also those with difficult personal circumstances (e.g. individuals who have suffered either depression or illness and as a result have "fallen behind" with their studies).
