Personal Description:

Qualified Experienced Mathematics teacher (PGCE,Ma (hons)) who enjoys preparing students to succeed with KS3 and G.C.S.E examinations. I am understanding and patient with all students. I strive to help pupils achieve their goals whether they find the subject demanding, need stretching or simply lack motivation.



Teaching Experience:

I am a part time working mathematics teacher at a Birmingham inner city comp and as such in touch with today's curriculum and the demands placed on students. I have been teaching mathematics for 16 years working with 'super top' sets to 'middle' and 'support'.



Tutoring Approach:

I endeavour to foster understanding based on goal orientated and outcome based learning. Often pupils suffer in exams due to poor exam technique rather than a lack of mathematical ability or understanding. I think the best way to teach is one to one and feel by tutoring I am able to help individuals in the most effective way, unfortunately we as a society can not afford to conduct our schools in such a manner.
