Personal Description:
I am a qualified teacher and Spanish native speaker from Barcelona. I am passionate about teaching Spanish and I have a good rapport with my students. Helping learners progress and achieve their goals is a source of personal satisfaction that money really can't buy!
Teaching Experience:
I have taught Spanish at differente levels, from initial to advanced, to students of different ages and backgrounds. Many of my students are adults (+18), but I have also tutored students preparing for their GCSE and A level Spanish exams. I have experience as a classroom tutor and one-to-one private tutor: Adult education colleges, Open University, University of Cambridge, and private tuition.
Tutoring Approach:
Initially, I discuss needs with the students, as different learners learn Spanish for different reasons: taking exams, learning to speak basic Spanish to get by in Spanish / Latin America, improving their speaking skills, learning more grammar...Each student is unique, but in my experience it is important to provide variety in the lessons: variety of resources, activities, and teaching methods. Learning a foreign language is challenging, but it can also be fun!
