Personal Description:
I am currently a final year student studying for my BA in French and Japanese at Cardiff University. I have lived and worked in various cities in France for over a year and I have also lived for six months in Tokyo where I studied at Dokkyo University, Japan's most prestigious foreign language institute. After graduating I plan to move to France to undertake a 2 years Masters in Business Administration. In my spare time i am a keen musician and play sport regularly.
Teaching Experience:
I taught English and Japanese in my spare time for six months whilst living in Toulouse, France to various levels. During my time in Tokyo, I tutored in English and French. My students in Japan varied in age and ability ranging from Elementary school students to Businessmen. I also helped once a week in a chat room at my university where any student could come and chat for an hour with a fluent french speaker.
Tutoring Approach:
Text books, handouts as well as the materials used by the student at school (if appropriate). I believe in active learning and encourage the student to think for themselves. I try to use the widest range of information sources available such as television, Internet and other printed resources. Still being a student I know the pressures of revision and am very willing to help preparing for exams.
