Rebecca - Liverpool tutor

Information About Rebecca:

Personal Description:

I am a University student in my second year of a law degree, obtaining a 2:1 in my first year. At College I obtained 5 a-levels including AAB in Law, English combined and ICT. At GCSE level I obtained 11 GCSE's all A* - B grades. I have achieved many things including the Duke of Edinborough Award Bronze, V50 award for volunteering and I have been a student mentor. I have a current clean CRB check, and references available from past tutoring positions.

Teaching Experience:

I have tutored for over a year now, which has involved tutoring three year 10 students to GCSE level in maths, English and science. All of these students were aiming to achieve a C in these core subjects. I have a little experience of working towards primary school SATS in core subjects, having tutored a student through these exams. Other general teaching experience includes teaching the martial art Taekwondo and fencing to beginners.

Tutoring Approach:

I find that trying to tutor one person may be entirely different to someone else. I appreciate how learning can be made fun, and this is the approach I bring towards tutoring along with rigour. I find practical questions, mind maps and quick question and answers are much more manageable then reading pages of information, or trying to memorise it. I am willing to mix and match subjects, such as moving between maths, English and science in one session.
