Teaching Experience:
I started my teaching career at the University of Jagiellonian in 2001 where I developed and implemented classes for groups at all levels and ages using both conventional and innovative methods. These methods included developing online materials together with writing evaluation tests, which I personally prepared and selected for each class and course. I was also strongly involved in observation of classes of more experienced colleagues along with exchanging notes and ideas on teaching approaches as well as participated in many teaching fairs where I attended a number of lectures on new teaching aids and their constructive appliance.
Moreover, I continued my career in teaching by preparing students for various exams including all Cambridge Exams (First Certificate, Advanced English Certificate, Proficiency English Certificate), Polish GCSE, university entrance exams, university language exams and professional development exams (Business English - all levels) in private language schools, as well as for different companies and as a private tutor.
Furthermore, I enriched my linguistic experience by undertaking numerous translational projects including: catalogue for Foundation for Visual Arts "Photo Month in Krakow" (published in Poland and distributed in many European countries), various contracts for construction companies and simultaneous translations of performances for Theatres in Krakow.
In addition to that I created and carried out extra curriculum courses in English based on fashion design at international schools in Portugal. My duties consisted of the creation of the syllabus for the course, delivery of teaching aids, the introduction of specialised language to multinational groups and frequent evaluation of the learning progress.
Finally, I evolved as pedagogue combining my technical skills and teaching knowledge by becoming a staff trainer as well as a translator for Fujitsu Services GDC working on one of the company's main projects where I was in charge of teaching communication skills, company ethics and providing technical support for multinational staff members to deliver bespoke client services in English. I was also responsible for the creation and preparation of training materials and diverse educational products, which became company procedure throughout Fujitsu.
Tutoring Approach:
Tutoring is basically focusing on the gaps in the knowledge of particular subject or its weaker points. It gives the student the opportunity to improve their knowledge or skills precisely and at their own speed. To shy students it also gives a chance to ask all the questions they are too embarrassed to ask during normal classes.
