Information About Jasmine:
Personal Description:
My name is Jasmine and I have just over three years teaching experience in Piano/Keyboard, Guitar and Theory, with a 100% pass rate in all exams from the initial grade, up to grade 8.
I have also had experience working in several semi-professional bands, performing in front of audiences of up to 1000 people.
Teaching Experience:
I have worked in several primary schools, as well as visiting pupils at their homes, giving individual lessons or group lessons with up to seven people at a time.I have taught people of all ages and abilities, with my oldest pupil being 75! I don't believe you're ever too young or old to learn music, and therefore anybody who wants to have a go, I'll be happy to give lessons to!
Tutoring Approach:
I believe that learning any instrument should be fun and interesting, and that it is also important to always be working towards new goals. Whether it's working towards an exam, practicing for a performance in front of an audience, or even just learning your favorite song, I think that having a specific aim is essential, as it maintains enthusiasm and gives a sense of achievement to the pupil once they have reached their goal.
I often organise concerts for my pupils to take part in, giving any one that wishes to take part, the chance to perform in front of a live audience, boosting their confidence and often leaving them feeling inspired by listening to each other's work. Any money raised from these concerts goes to a charity voted for by the pupils, as this also helps to boost their C.V.
