Deborah - East Kilbride tutor
Information About Deborah:
Personal Description:
My name is Deborah Marsella I am 24 years old and a fully qualified primary school teacher. I graduated from Strathclyde University after 4 years with a Batchelors of Education in Primary Education with Honours, Classification - 2.1.
I live a very fit and active lifestyle and enjoy running, netball, swimming, drama, dancing, going to the gym and attending fitness classes including yoga and callanetics. I also, enjoy teaching Netball in my spare time.
Teaching Experience:
I have been a fully qualified teacher for two years and throughout this time I have been fortunate enough to experience a year teaching my own class and another year teaching all stages within the school from Nursery to Primary 7. Therefore, I believe I would be a highly beneficial tutor as I am aware of the different teaching styles and expectations for a class teacher at infant, junior and senior stages.
I worked in Stonehouse Primary School where I was responsible for the inclusion of children from supported classes into the mainstream setting. I planned, implemented and assessed groups of children from both the mainstream and supported classes. I also worked collaboratively with both mainstream and supported teachers to maximise effective programmes of work. Therefore, I am used to planning personalised programmes of work to help every learner meet their full potential.
Tutoring Approach:
I am very hardworking, passionate and committed to teaching. It is an extremely rewarding job and I feel privileged to be part of the teaching profession. I am very enthusiastic and have a positive and encouraging approach to help engage and motivate individuals to learn. I have excellent communication skills and a resourceful mind. I believe my friendly, outgoing and conscientious personality helps me to work well with pupils and parents. This helps children to flourish in a more productive and uplifting environment helping to raise self esteem. I ensure each child is given targets that match their abilities in order to foster a 'can do' attitude and build confidence in their own abilities.
