Personal Description:
My Name is Jasmin I come from Austria, so German is my mother tongue. I am a qualified Secondary School teacher. This is my second year in the UK. I love travelling and meeting people from different cultural background.
Teaching Experience:
Last Year I was German Language Assistant in a Secondary School in London. I was mostly responsible for the development of speaking skills of year 10 and 11 and preparing them for their GCSE exam. I was also doing project oriented works with other year groups.
Before that I have been working as a private tutor in different families in Austria. I assisted children with a non German background with their homework and exam preparation.
Tutoring Approach:
I think that the main purpose of a Language is to communicate and to bring meaning across.
Structures and Grammar are very important tools to enable the exchange of thoughts, opinions and cultural values.
When I am with a student I am showing personal interest, adapt my level of language and give variable and interesting tasks. I am very patient and creating a friendly atmosphere is very important to me
