Personal Description:
With university qualifications in Maths & Philosophy along with graduate qualifications in Law, I am passionate about enabling others to understand and enjoy these subjects.
Teaching Experience:
I have previously tutored several students in mathematics, including A level modules in mechanics, pure and statistics as well as foundation and higher tier GCSE papers. I have completed a university scheme where I worked in a local secondary school helping to teach the children. I worked with a range of students from those who were keen and fascinated to those who just needed to pass the qualification. I enjoy helping others and finding new angles on the subjects. I have always enjoyed mentoring and helping others to find the best way of understanding the subject.
Tutoring Approach:
After finishing my degree and post-graduate qualifications, I decided to work in a local school on a student scheme for three weeks. Having particularly enjoyed teaching in smaller groups and 1-1, I tutored for a year before returning back to university to obtain further qualifications.
My strengths are in mathematics, verbal and non-verbal reasoning, with extensive knowledge in law and philosophy. I am a humorous and patient person, well aware that there are many ways of looking at the same problem and solution and I am happy to find the one that is most comfortable for the individual.
