Personal Description:

I am French and fluent in English. I have an MA in English History. I spent a year studying at the University of Birmingham during my Master as an Erasmus Student. I did my english studies at the Universit de Toulouse le Mirail.
I enjoy working with children and young people. In my freetime: I read a lot, I cook a lot too and I enjoy visiting places in the UK.

Teaching Experience:

I am a French Assistant at Cadbury Sixth Form and College. I have experiences teaching French to teenagers, older students as well as adults. I adapt myself and my teaching to each student and each situation.
From September 2004 to June 2005 I worked as a French assistant at Kingsbury school and Castle Vale, both in Birmingham. I helped the teacher in the classroom and worked alongside the sudents or I took a group of students in an another classroom to work with them on specific subjects (i.e: preparation for the GCSE French oral exam)
I have been working as a private tutor in France from September 2005 to June 2009. I taught French and English to different students (primary school, secondary school and A-Levels)

Tutoring Approach:

I always establish confidence between me and my students. It is very important that they trust me and feel free to talk to me. I ask them what their assets are and what they think their weaknesses are in the subject I teach. I want to know their level through their eyes first before I see for myself.
I always work on their assets, strong points as well as their with them to understand and get over them. I focus on the positive side of mistakes, they are a way to achieve better, I use them as a tool.
I give homework when my students have time for it and I encourage them every time I see them. I aim to build self-confidence in my students because it is generally what they lack and what they really need.
