Personal Description:
I studied French and German at the University of Manchester and graduated in 2007. Since then I did a PGCE course training to teach Modern Languages. I spent time in my degree living in Dijon and Hamburg.
Teaching Experience:
I have a teaching qualification (PGCE) and also taught French and German at a Secondary school in Bury from January 2009 to September 2009. During this time I have taught both languages up to A-level, been involved in individual and group tutoring and have had several exam successes.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach is based on the individual: how much of the language do they already know? what are they intending to use the language for? Obviously, if the tutee is looking for German for business, they need coaching in different areas than say, someone who wants to learn German for pleasure. My teaching exerience has taught me that everyone learns best in different ways, and I will adapt my tutoring to suit the learner's style. I am very flexible and will do my best to adapt to the needs of the tutee.
