Personal Description:

I am a Secondary trained History and Politics teacher with a Modern History degree from Oxford University. I have 7 years teaching experience in inner city state schools in London and Bristol. I also have one year's teaching EFL experience in India. As well as tutoring up to A Level in both History and Politics, I also have much experience in the University application process and am available for support with interview preparation and in the writing of personal statements. As a curriculum area leader in both History and KS5 Social Sciences I am up to date with what is required by the examination boards. I am happy to teach both children and adult learners.

Tutoring Approach:

I have an interactive approach to learning and link closely to the school curriculum. I am happy to tutor groups or on a 1:1 basis. I can offer interview technique guidance and practice for a variety of subjects. The approach to tutoring will be specific to the needs of the individual and the areas of weakness that need addressing or areas of interest that need furthering.
