Personal Description:

I am a confident,easy going key skills tutor who has an excellent rapport with my students and have an excellent pass rate within the college that I work in. My students are mostly male 16+ studying Engineering, Electronic and Manufacturing with some Electrical and Motor vehicle students, there are some females on the courses and have no problem with that.I consider myself to be honest ,punctual, reliable and above all totally committed to my students. If my students fail then I feel that I have failed as their tutor and that's why I never put a time limit on their studies, I am willing to put in the extra mile at all times to ensure my students success.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching now for over 20years and enjoy every second of it. I also have owned my own school teaching complementary medicine, beauty and holistic massage. In 1996 I had the priviledge to co-write the first Reflexology / Aromotherapy course that was valadated by the University in Manchester and for the last 5 years I have enjoyed teaching key skills English / Maths Level1 /L 2 here at Hopwood Hall College in Rochdale.

Tutoring Approach:

Quite laid back, I want students to enjoy their learning experience but also understand the need for deadlines and revision time.

Qualifications:

• City & Guilds 7307 Teaching Cert, Cert ED
• D32/33/34/36 converted to A / V awards
• A Level English / Maths
