Personal Description:
Hi!
I have recently moved back to Leicester after teaching in Manchester and London. I completed my degree in primary education with Qualified Teacher Status at the University of Greenwich, London. I enjoy Yoga, Climbing and anything that keeps me active and outdoors.
I am currently teaching at a mainstream school with a year 4 class and I am looking to help students throughout the year.
Teaching Experience:
Fully CRB Checked and registered with the General Teaching Council.
Experience in whole class, groups and on a 1:1 basis for 4 years.
Experience with behavioral problems, Autism and Dyslexia.
Taught in London, Kent, Leicestershire and Manchester Local Education Authorities.
Experience of working within pupil referral units.
I have also recently been enlisted on the Governments new 1:1 tutoring scheme.
I have Qualified Teaching experience in all year groups from nursery to year 9 and have tutored up to KS4.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe in purposeful teaching where the child, mum and dad are able to actively form a target that they would like to achieve as a result of tutoring. This could be in the form of a test, confidence building in the area or anything that can help a child to gain more enthusiasm for a particular subject.
Each session will be measured against a session by session objective to achieving that target.
Having 1:1 learning is an experience that will not happen very often in the child's education in school. In your tutorial sessions I believe that tailoring the objective in line with your particular child's learning style is necessary to gain full value for your child and for your money from the session.
