Personal Description:

In 2004 I graduated from the University of Adam Mickiewicz, one of the most prestigious in Poland,with an MA in English Philology.While I was a student I began teaching English as a foreign language in primary school. It was a very challenging and rewarding period beginning my fascination with different ways of teaching and learning strategies. After a year I got the job of an English lecturer in a private language school that gave me an opportunity to work with children and adults of all ages.
While still teaching in Astra language school, after my graduation, I decided to start working with teenagers in secondary school toward their final Matura (A-levels in the UK) exams. Being convinced that I have made the right career choice for myself in 2006 I decided to come to the British Isles in pursuit of new and challenging opportunities in your school system that will enhance my teaching abilities and further my professional career. In 2007 I managed to start working as a Teaching Assistant in Northwood Broom Community School in Stoke on Trent. Not only have I assisted and helped the teacher during lessons but also successfully translated and interpreted from and into Polish. The experience I got there was a great personal challenge and gave me the profound knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage (Nursery, Reception) and The National Curriculum (Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2).

Teaching Experience:

Teaching six years in ASTRA language school I have found the method of facilitating rather than dictating to be a highly beneficial style of teaching. I have learned that if students construct their own learning experiences they will not only retain information longer, but they will also become more confident in their abilities.
As a teacher , I hope to motivate students in ascertaining their inner strengths and abilities and discovering what truly inspires them. I aim to provide a stimulating learning environment that encourages students to trust their own opinions, while fostering confidence in order for students to realize their full potential.

Tutoring Approach:

Having a great passion for education, I offer high enthusiasm and motivation in the classroom. It is my firm goal to enrich the lives of each of my students. I am interested in pursuing new and challenging opportunities in your school system that will enhance my teaching abilities and further my professional career. Being a strong advocate for the youth of today, it is my hope to enhance the quality of their educational experience by providing them the tools they will need to make their dreams become reality.
