Personal Description:

I am an experienced tutor for children aged 5-16, with experience in maths, english and science tuition up to GCSE, and excellent National Curriculum knowledge. I really enjoy helping a child reach their potential, and relish being part of the moment when a previously difficult concept is finally understood.



Teaching Experience:

With a 2.1 Science degree, excellent A-Levels and GCSEs, over 3 years experience running an after-school education service, and over 10 years experience supporting, training and tutoring children in a number of subjects, I have the skills, knowledge and personality that ensures children get the most out of their education whilst enjoying it as well.
1998-2004 - Swimming and Lifesaving coach
1998-2004 - Music and orchestral teacher
2005-2008 - Manager of afterschool education service (maths and English)
2008-current - Working with 5-18yr olds, managing a series of science, technology and maths events



Tutoring Approach:

I adapt my tutoring to fit the particular learning style of the child, incorporating practical applications, hands on activities, revision and repetition and fun activities among other tuition styles. This ensures that each child receives an individualised approach and gets the most out of their sessions.
