Information About Sam:
Personal Description:
I am motivated, adaptable and responsible graduate seeking a tutoring position that will utilise the organisational and communication skills that I developed through out my time at Leeds Metropolitan University and also in my previous employment.
During my degree course I successfully combined my studies with work and other commitments. In achieving this I have shown myself to be self-motivated, organised and capable of working under pressure. I have a clear, logical mind with a practical approach to problem solving and a drive to see things through to completion. I enjoy working on my own initiative or as part of a team and I have been cited as a reliable, trustworthy and hardworking person.
Teaching Experience:
Over the past two years i have tutored music privately to pupils aged between 14 to 30 with a mixed range of abilities. I mainly teach beginner to intermediate guitar and also music theory. I also have tutoring experience in music technology. this covers a wide range of subjects such as composition, arrangement, production and recording techniques.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to each student varies because each pupil is different and learn in contrasting ways. First session usually start with getting to know the student and teaching them the basics and seeing how they interpret this. If the pupil has a good base knowledge then I will ask them to show me what they already know and then make suggestion on how they may expand on what they are already know.
