Personal Description:

Having recently graduated from University in Ireland, I have now moved to the UK to study for a Masters degree in Occupational Therapy. I have a passion for Psychology and a keen interest in English drama and poetry. I also love music. I hold a grade VI qualification in piano from the Royal Academy of Music and have co-produced and recorded a CD for charity.

Teaching Experience:

I have previously tutored students ranging in age from approx 12 to 17 years. However, my new role as a student Occupational Therapist has given me the opportunity to work one-to-one with people of all ages and ethnic backgrounds.

Tutoring Approach:

I have a very friendly, caring disposition and believe that a good relationship between tutor and student is key to success. I have a personal, one-to-one approach to tutoring, ensuring the student has a thorough understanding of any material. I prefer to set out our initial goals up front, so that both the tutee and I have a plan to work from. This enables us to better evaluate the direction the tutoring is going and see specific successes and failures to tailor future sessions. I am relaxed and informal, whilst still maintaining a high level of professionalism. I feel this is the best way to impart knowledge since people are more responsive to someone they can engage with. Ultimately, we will work at your own pace and target those areas you feel most concerned about. I will be punctual, friendly and helpful and will guarantee a positive experience.
