Personal Description:

My name is Roger Mortimer-Smith. I am a highly qualified musician, with a Masters Degree in Music Theory and Analysis from Goldsmiths College, University of London. I am also a very experienced singer, having studied operatic performance at Birkbeck College, Morley College and the City Lit, as well as having private voice lessons and singing in numerous choirs. I am also an experienced and patient teacher.

I offer tuition in music theory and sight-singing.

Sight-singing
Is poor sight-singing holding you back? Do you have difficulty learning new music? Do you miss out on singing opportunities because you know you wouldn't be able to learn the music in time?

Music theory
Is not knowing music theory holding you back as a musician? Do you wish you could read and write music - or do it more fluently? Do you need to pass the Grade 5 Theory exam in order to take later instrumental/vocal exams?

I am a highly experienced singer and musician with the ability to sing almost anything at sight. I can teach you how to do the same. I am also qualified in music theory to Masters Degree level (from Goldsmiths College, University of London).

I am an experienced and patient teacher. All ages and ability levels catered for. Whether your goal is to improve your sight-singing or pass a music theory exam, to be able to read music fluently or write your own music down, I can help.

• MMus in Music Theory an Analysis, Goldsmiths College
• BA (Hons) in Music, Kingston University
• I have studied operatic performance at the City Lit, Birkbeck College and Morley College
