Personal Description:

I am 29 years old and have a degree in Business Studies and German. I am offering tuition in German, French and English as Foreign Language face to face and via Skype . I worked in Cologne Germany whilst I was at University and enjoy teaching. I had a very positive educational experience and very much enjoy sharing my knowledge and helping others to achieve their goals. I
In 2004 I graduated from De Montfort University. I like to keep my knowledge of the subjects I teach as up to date as possible by keeping abreast of current events and utilising online resources

Teaching Experience:

My profile currently includes a Student studying 'A' Level German and a Student learning English as Foreign Language at advanced level. Prior to that I have helped a Student preparing for their IELTS exams, a German PHD Student and a Doctor from India.

In addition with assisting a PHD Student prepare for an important oral examination and a Polish Student with their conversational English. Prior to that I worked an English Language Teaching Assistant in Cologne for nine months teaching a variety of subjects including Business Education, Travel Education and forwarding. My students were aged eighteen years and upwards from different backgrounds. I did my lesson preparation, conducted my lessons, provided the teachers with assistance and also offered small private lessons for students who required extra support.

Tutoring Approach:

I am a patient and approachable teacher, who is committed to helping my student(s) achieve their goal. I adapt my style of teaching to the needs of my student(s )and take a positive and encouraging approach to keep my students(s) motivated . I want my students to enjoy learning, to be confident in their abilities and to stay motivated. My current and previous students are satisfied with the tuition I have provided them often comment that they think I am a good teacher, very patient and communicate very well.

I teach at a pace that suits my Student(s) in a professional and informal manner. When teaching a subject I ensure I have provided the information, the information has been understood and will set a task to give my student(s) an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of that subject. Some examples of the tasks I might set are role plays or games. I also use some traditional teaching methods such as vocabulary tests and text books as they can also be effective.
