Aimee - Uxbridge tutor

Information About Aimee:

Personal Description:

I am a friendly, approachable and patient individual. I also work as an actor and will shortly be graduating from a top Drama School in London. My academic abilities are vast. I completed a degree at The University of Manchester in Drama where i obtained a high 2:1. I value the importance of having a caring, diligent and encouraging tutor as a support to mainstream methods of learning. I have a creative mind and English and English Literature nurture this on a daily basis.

Teaching Experience:

I have assisted in a great deal of teaching and education facilities. I regularly facilitate and teach in drama workshops with adults and children of all ages. I have also worked with the hearing impaired as a learning assistant. I think my warm character along with my high levels of patience ensures the people i teach obtain the results they strive for.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe in an approach that is active and stimulating. A tutor that simply sets work and allows the pupil to work through it alone or with little assistance is in my opinion not providing an enriching learning curve for their student. Asking relevant questions prompts someone to think for themselves and gain the satisfaction in doing so. Everyone has a unique way of learning and i think it is the tutors job to tailor each of their sessions to fits the specific, detailed needs of their students. The tutoring experience is a jouney to be undergone together and at a supporting pace.
