Personal Description:
I have a strong academic background including a first class degree in English gained in 2005 and am passionately committed to helping children achieve their learning potential.
Teaching Experience:
I am a Teaching Assistant at a primary school in Exeter and will be starting a teacher training programme in September. My current position includes supporting children's learning in all subjects but I particularly excel at helping children meet literacy targets. Because of this I am currently running a year 6 SATs booster group to ensure children achieve the marks they are capable of in the tests next month.
Tutoring Approach:
My experience thus far is with primary age children but, having studied English to degree level, I feel I could offer valuable support for children studying for GCSE exams. I have a positive and supportive attitude towards tutoring. I communicate the subject with passion, breaking down concepts in ways that the individual student can understand, and this environment helps children to thrive and achieve.
