Personal Description:

I am a confident, approachable and friendly individual who is keen to learn and to teach. I enjoy meeting new people and learning new skills. I have a wide variety of hobbies, such as climbing, sailing, cycling and photography. I have been involved in the production of several amateur films and other media projects. I am extremely computer literate.



Teaching Experience:

I have teaching experience through getting alongside people and helping them to develop new skills. I have been involved in teaching computer skills to elderly people. I have also taught people wanting to learn to use particular software suites, such as photo or video editting. I also have experience teaching new skills to young people as well as teaching them information needed for courses and programmes.



Tutoring Approach:

My teaching method is to encourage the individual to explore the ideas surrounding the subject and find a method that suits them. I like to bring in additional ideas and new information that will help to keep the individual interested. I often use technology and media to impart ideas. I find that discussing the subject and really coming to terms with it are the most effective ways of reaching a level of understanding.
