Personal Description:
I am an easy going 33 year old Senior Scientist who has been since August 2002 working for a Pharmaceutical Company based in Oxfordshire.
I believe that by undertaking home tutoring in Chemistry and Biology at GCSE and A level I am not only teaching individuals on a one-to-one basis, but also training the next generation of scientists and providing them with a solid foundation upon which the tutee can base their scientific knowledge and in doing so will be better equipped to face the scientific challenges that lie ahead.
Teaching Experience:
This is my first outing as a home tutor. In the past I have demonstrated practical laboratory skills to undergraduates at Loughborough University during my PhD.
I myself was provided with home tutoring in Chemistry and Physics during my A levels and realise the benefits home tutoring can bring.
Tutoring Approach:
Wherever possible, I will try and apply theoretical aspects of Chemistry and Biology to everyday situations to better illustrate a particular concept.
Although I will adhere to the GCSE or A level syllabus for any given subject provided by the Examination Board, I will also try and whet the appetite by providing an insight into A level and University education in that subject should the pupil wish to pursue that subject further.
