Daniel - Nottingham tutor
Information About Daniel:
Personal Description:
I am a PhD student student studying epidemiology, i have a first class honours degree in mathematics.
I find my age (23) is often a benefit when tutoring students. It makes younger students feel more at ease, and when more comfortable, i have found that a student is able to process more of what i show them.
Teaching Experience:
I have been tutoring for a few years now with great success, tutoring a range of ages. During my undergraduate degree, i co-ran a mathematics support service for degree level non mathematicians.
Tutoring Approach:
Having been at school 'only' a few years ago, i feel i am very well equipped to deliver my maths knowledge to young people.
I am able to communicate in a way that they will appreciate, and to convey mathematical concepts in a way that they may not have previously considered.
My way of teaching eliminates any cause for shyness, and allows the student to feel comfortable in their own home, whilst remaining very effective and professional.
I am equally happy to tutor mature students as i find that my way of approaching a problem is often unseen previously by mature students.
I am happy to tutor with parents present (i have found that it is the student that normally dislikes this!) or without. I am also equally happy to discuss the needs of the student before tutoring.
NB: I AM NOT AVAILABLE TO TUTOR AT THE MOMENT, AND WILL RETURN TO TUTORING IN THE NEAR FUTURE. MY APOLOGIES.
