Personal Description:

My name is Thomas Day, I am a graduate in English from Trinity College Dublin and classics.
I regard myself to be dedicated to both my students and work to the maximum of efficiency.
I have keenly followed the educational developments in my fields of expertise and have worked several years , ( 50 years) in the educational ambit. I have given numerous lectures in universities such as Yale and Princeton and have references available from both, highlighting my qualities as teacher.

Teaching Experience:

Over the last 40 years I have worked in Italy for the British institute of Rome as an Oxbridge examiner in english and English ESOL teacher. Accompanying this expertise I have lectured on issues surrounding Shakespeare and classicists such as Byron throughout America.
Teaching expertise have seen me work on translations from greek to english and Italian to English or vice versa. Encompassing this , I have taught native Italians, english up to senior business levels.
Prior to my employment in Italy,I was resident as born in the UK and have lectured in trinity college Dublin and at st Josephs. I have had the amazing opportunity to prepare children for entrance into top public schools like Eaton, and Our Lady Ascot not only for the common entrance exam they use themselves but scholarship grade exams.
These lessons included Latin and Greek required for scholarships. Following my move back to London i have continued to help students in writing essays for post graduate examination assessments and preparing children from the age of 16+ for gcse exams and university entrance exams as well as a levels. Up until present day.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to teaching may be regarded as unique and always prepared to maximum efficiency.
I take each student as an individual and push them to the maximum of their capabilities. I am able to help them surmount all types of difficulties and achieve levels they deemed themselves capable of not achieving . I dedicate and commit myself to students 100% and am always thorough in their question responses and critical assessment, most of all, I do not believe in spoon feeding, i work with the students, so they can master the skills needed in english and use these not only there and then but, whenever need be
