Personal Description:
I am a second-year undergraduate reading Joint Honours History and Russian at Wadham College, University of Oxford. At the end of my first year I was awarded a First in the Preliminary Examination, indicating that I am one of the top Russianists in the university. I have spent time living in Russia, including one month spent in St Petersburg last summer, and my work on medieval and early modern European History has been highly praised by my tutors.
Teaching Experience:
I have not tutored before, but have actual first-hand experience of historical research and the Oxford admissions process which may be of interest to students. I also hold an elementary qualification in English tuition, which helps me in teaching other subjects, and I am preparing to spend a year as a teaching assistant in a Russian university.
Tutoring Approach:
I aim to prepare students for exams or Oxbridge admissions by instilling fundamental techniques and advanced knowledge in a rigorous but stimulating way.
