Information About Yasin:
Personal Description:
I am a formulation chemistry graduate and have been working in finance since graduation. I currently tutor biology, chemistry and physics on the weekends and tutor KS3 and GCSE Mathematics during the week.
I have trained teams of staff up to 20 strong and have worked with individuals from many backgrounds. I feel my strength comes from being able to convey complex ideas in simple forms for anyone to understand
Teaching Experience:
Tutoring 11 to 16 year olds in a tutoring centre. I tutor chemistry, biology and physics, for AQA, EDEXCEL and OCR syllubi. In addition to the Sciences I also tutor mathematics and statistics.
I can tutor up to A Level for Chemistry, and Biology, whereas I have sufficient experience and expertise to tutor all the sciences and mathematics (including statistics) for GCSE level.
I also tutor one-to-one in students' homes.
Presently I tutor two children who have hearing difficulties, one of which has a language difficulty.
Tutoring Approach:
I approach each class the same as I would a training session for my staff. The first goal is to determine the individual's learning style and then adapt the tutoring to them. I have been successful in getting children motivated to learn by involving them and letting them have a say about how they would like to be taught.
Patience and perseverance are absolutely key as well as giving the appropriate level of requirement.
I presently use an iPad to present ideas in an interactive form including the use of videos and animations.
I am available by email to all my students at all times and will try to help as quickly as I can.
