Well able to handle pressure and stress, I enjoy learning and employing new skills, as well as developing existing ones. I thoroughly enjoy learning new languages; currently have a high level in Italian and fluency in French, taking pleasure also in unearthing the culture that is tied up within and behind the language.

Following gradating I spent a year in industry before going back to university to complete her PGCE, I now teach French at an 11-18 school.

Teaching Experience:

September 2007-July 2008 PGCE at the University of York in Modern Foreign Languages including placements at Millthorpe school and Huntington School in York.

September 2008-July 2009 French teacher at Hessle High, East Yorks.

Tutoring Approach:

During my lessons I have successfully worked to include a wide variety of resources and teaching styles to create a learning environment which is positive, exciting and challenging for all pupils. I feel that this has been a key factor in enthusing students in their own learning.
