Personal Description:

I am a Native Spanish and Catalan speaker, 36 years old who has been living in Birmingham for 8 years.

I am very friendly and enjoy meeting new people and cultures. I like gardening, reading, handicraft and travelling. I am also a very patient person and outgoing.

I am currently doing a degree as I like to keep my mind occupied. I also study French and Cantonese.

Teaching Experience:

I have a city and guilds teacher training certificate and I have taught during 4 of the years I have been in Birmingham, both adults at university and also children as a teacher assistant from a top secondary school. I'm also teaching English in Spain during my summers there.

I teach one to one privately from my home preferably.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to have a conversation and do a little test to my new students to be able to define their level first and then customize lessons using a great variety of resources: listening with different accents (Latin-American, Spanish from different parts of Spain), interactive videos, games, etc.

I am very flexible so I can adapt to students needs and wants in short time. I like to have fun while I'm teaching as learning a new language can be fun also!

I can prepare students to official exams for just a bit more extra an hour.
