Personal Description:
I studied engineering and maths, and obtained a PhD for research into computer architectures. Since then I have been involved in education for over 15 years.
I have a particular interest in applied statistics, and can provide tuition for
- students studying above A-Level in psychology, sociology, etc
- scientists analysing the results of experiments
- business managers analysing sales patterns, business processes, critical success factors, etc
Teaching Experience:
Maths and engineering at technical college.
Computer science and maths at university.
Applied maths and statistics for a major engineering company.
Private tuition in maths and science.
Tutoring Approach:
I am patient, and skilled at finding ways to explain the concepts and procedures.
In addition, I try to make the student aware of the usefulness of the subject in daily life, thereby raising their interest and their willingness to learn.
