Personal Description:
I am a Sports Medicine Graduate from the University of Glasgow. I have recently moved to London to return to Uni to do an integrated Masters in Osteopathy. I enjoy reading, exploring London and any and every sport.
Teaching Experience:
Previous experience includes tutoring individuals sitting their Scottish Standard Grade and Highers with on average a 1 - 2 Grade jump from their mock result.
Running small targeted study groups on the run up to exams- students signed up for the days where I am covering the topics they require more practise on therefore taking some control and responsibility over their study.
Tutoring Approach:
I am a calm and relaxed person and my tutor sessions are importantly stress free. Tension, worry and fear of failing or underachieving can block the brains ability to learn. A relaxed environment promotes learning and produces results.
Focus is on understanding a topic and being able to apply that knowledge rather than just simply relaying facts back without complete understanding. Regular exam question practise and familarisation with exam technique will ensure on the day answering the questions will be second nature.
