Ival - Walworth tutor

Information About Ival:

Personal Description:

I have recently graduated from the London School of Oriental and African Studies with a Masters in Development Studies. I also have a BA honours in French and International Relations. I currently work at the Commonwealth Youth Exchange Council as a a Grants and Administration Officer. In my spare time I am also the chair of a youth organisation called Young Leaders Sierra Leone. When I am not working or studying I enjoy travelling and experiencing new cultures. I enjoy reading and going to the theatre. I have recently taken up yoga which I think is a great way of relaxing after a week of work.

Teaching Experience:

I was an English Assistant for 7months in a school in Reunion Island. I taught English to pupils aged between 13 and 17. I have also given personal tutoring to pupils in both Reunion Island and France.

Tutoring Approach:

Everyone I teach I treat on an individual basis as I realise that some people can work fast whilst others can work quite slowly. I like to engage with my pupils as much as possible so they feel comfortable learning with me. I do this by trying to keep learning as fun as possible by using a variety of tools instead of jus always reading straight from a book.
