Information About Sofia:
Personal Description:
I am 25 years of age and am a qualified Science teacher. I am currently teaching in a 11-19 mixed comprehensive school, however I do provide tuition in the evenings and weekends. I am flexible, easy going and good at motivating pupils.
Teaching Experience:
I am a qualified Science teacher and am currently working in a mixed ability comprehensive school. I have been teaching for a few years now and I have also been involved in the EMAS Sheffield Junior Fellowship project, which involves working with a group of pupils to raise standards and help pupils to maximise their potential. I aso have tutoring experience and have sucessfully led tutees through to a-level
Tutoring Approach:
I hope to make lessons fun, interesting and have a great deal of patience. I feel I am good at explaining hard facts and am keen to use pneumonics as this can be a good way for a pupil to remeber and recall key facts. I also have my own resource pack which are full of up to date worksheets, exam questions and schemes of work.
