Information About Stephen:

Personal Description:

I trained as an actor and have worked professionally in the creative sector as a performer, writer and director, before moving into the Arts Education sector. I offer a fun engaging delivery style that can be tailored to different age groups.

Teaching Experience:

I have worked in the arts education sector since 2009 delivering individual and group sessions of a range of cross-curricular activities. I worked as a youth theatre leader and drama teacher for the Paul Nicholas Schoo of Acting between 2009 and 2014 teaching drama and theatre-led educational activities to children aged 4-18.

Following this, I have worked with various arts education charities in Yorkshire and have delivered a variety of cross-curricular work. This includes English, Maths, RE, PHSE, Drama, and History.

I currently work as the Education Manager at a large regional theatre and am responsible for planning and delivering a programme of lessons for primary, secondary, FE and HE and SEN groups.

Tutoring Approach:

I deliver pupil-led sessions that encourage enjoyment of learning and personalised development plans. I have found this approach to deliver effective results that encourage retainment of knowledge, and give learners the chance to move at a pace that works for them. I use an array of resources that allow me to tailor sessions in a way that is most beneficial to the student's development.
