Information About Dan:


Personal Description:

I am a young, friendly and enthusiastic primary school teacher who is passionate about helping children achieve their learning goals and aspirations. I am able to motivate learners and explain key concepts in a child friendly way maximising attainment.

I am a keen sportsman and run, jump and throw for Thurrock Harriers and the country of Essex. In addition to this I am a qualified athletics coach and run a training group for children between the ages of 8 - 11.



Teaching Experience:

I currently teach year 6 children at a primary school with ever increasing SATs results of which I have played a key role. I have run booster classes in Maths, English and Science to ensure children are best prepared for their SATs.

I have experience of working with children throughout Key Stage 2 in a range of academic and sporting situations.



Tutoring Approach:

I believe all children are unique and have different learning needs requiring the teacher to adapt the content and style of their teaching accordingly. From my experience of teaching I would suggest that children learn most effectively in a fun and stimulating setting where learning goals are shared.

It is my intention to foster a calm, friendly, purposeful and professional learning environment where children are motivated to work towards their learning goals and reach their full potential.
