Personal Description:

I am a recent graduate from the University of Sussex with a BA Joint Hons Degree in History and French. I have a strong passion for history and hope to do a Masters in the future. I have studied French since school and have lived in France on several occasions. I speak and write French fluently.

I am a very friendly, approachable and creative person who enjoys meeting people. I enjoy a variety of different sports and moreover play the piano to a high level.

I have a good deal of work experience in a variety of jobs that have developed my skills and abilities. I am currently working at the BBC on the Saturday Sports Show.

Teaching Experience:

Although I do not have any formal teaching experience, I do believe that I have the attributes to be a successful tutor. Whilst living in France, I tutored French students studying English. It was an experience that gave me a great deal of satisfaction as I helped my students progress.

I am very eager to help more students progress and succeed with their studies.

Tutoring Approach:

Having been fortunate to have had a good education, I have an awareness of different teaching methods. I am aware that a method that works for myself, may not necessarily be appropriate for another student. However, I believe that I would be able to provide a personalised teaching service to each student upon getting to know the student.

Furthermore, I believe that learning should not be a chore. There are of course aspects that require hard work, but ideally learning and teaching should be an enjoyable experience.

• BA Joint Honours Degree History and French 2:1
• Grade A History A-Level. Grade B French A-Level
• Grade A* in GCSE History and French
