Personal Description:
I am a resident in the UK for nearly 15 years - originally from Taiwan but now settled in north Wiltshire. Being fluent both in English and Mandarin Chinese, my focus is on helping students develop their language skills to their best potential. All my students find me professional, reliable and accommodating to different learning needs and expectations.
Teaching Experience:
I am a fully qualified foreign language teacher in Taiwan and spent 5 yrs teaching within the formal High School educational system in Taiwan. I was an English Teacher teaching to 16-18 yrs students. In addition, I have substantial teaching experience in teaching on a 1:1 basis as well as in coperate training. I have also supported a teaching programme at a Chinese Sunday School in London during 2006-2007. During 2009 and 2011, I worked for some blue-chip company to deliver business language training.
Currently I am working in primary schools, independent schools and colleges as a Mandarin Chinese lecturer in Wiltshire, Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire area. I also help students achieve formal qualifications such as GCSE/ IGCSE in Mandain Chinese (both traditional and simplified) and HSK. I am able to teach beyond GCSE ie towards AS and A level.
Tutoring Approach:
With my extensive teaching experiences, I remain flexible in my approach by providing personalised learning activities with the aim at students' improvement and results.
I am willing to teach at a client's home or from my home.
