Personal Description:

I'm a native Mandarin Chinese speaker from the very international city Shanghai. With a Master degree in Chinese Literature and 10 years experience of teaching Chinese in both China and Spain, I'm highly qualified and have the passion for language teaching. I hope to help you improve your language skill, and also to develop an understanding of the life, culture and history of China.

Teaching Experience:

From 1999 to 2006 when I was studying in Fudan University, I offered private language tuition to individual learners of different ages, backgrounds and of different levels. I also offered translation, interpreting, and English language tuition services in a part-time basis.

From 2005 to 2007, I was a Lecturer in Chinese Language in the International Cultural Exchange School of SUFE(Shanghai University of Financial and Economics), in which I teach Mandarin Chinese to foreign undergraduate students from basic to advanced level (including speaking, listening, reading, writing, translation, interpretation and Chinese for Special Purpose, e.g. business, politics). I was responsible for preparing course materials, conducting tutorials, marking students essays and exams,including HSK exam. Apart from Chinese languages I also integrate Chinese culture, Chinese history and cultural awareness elements into the class.

In 2007-8, I offered tutoring to the English-speaker in Madrid when I was studying Spanish in school.
And from 2008 until this year June, I taught native English people in Oxford when I lived there. My tutees include student from Oxford University.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach of using multi media together with pronunciation exercise and written practice can help to build a solid foundation in the language.
